On January 20, 2024, the meditative album The Musical Wave Of Time was released, which musically explores over 60 uninterrupted minutes, the connections between the musical notes, the colors and the times of the day, discovered by Robert E Grant. The complete study presents 24 Chakra Tones, also grouped into 7 Chakra Songs referring to each basic chakra, and in addition also 2 versions of 30 minutes each, one only with the quarters of tones referring to 432 Hz and the other with those referring to 528 Hz, all in Precise Temperament Tuning. The tuning files, images and a PDF table are also available for download at tonimazzotti.com. See the complete audiovisual presentation below:
432, HERTZ and ROBERT
Many years ago, when I first heard about the 7 Chakras, the 7 colors and also the 7 musical notes, I wondered what it would be like to listen to music in tune with this absolute harmony. Over the years, I have found several studies pointing out connections between these areas, and the most complete and elegant is that of Robert E Grant.
Traditional theorists believe that there is no connection between relative harmony (solfeggio: do, ré, mi… ) and absolute harmony, as I call it, which are geometry, cosmology and mathematics. But for us who defend 432 Hz as the center of the melodic spectrum, this connection exists and is important. Robert’s work is vast and very eloquent about the importance of the number 432, especially when we overlap these 3 areas.
Another number that stands out is 60. The smallest number that has the highest number of connections. A sexagesimal mandala made of sexagesimal slices of time and space counting. The system behind what we currently call Hertz.
On May 23, 2023, Robert announced his most incredible musical discovery so far, about the relationships between musical notes, colors and the sexagesimal system he called: The Music Wave Of Time. During the next 4 months, I focused on these studies to document it, so that more people can make music with these frequencies, and I also created a album of 24 meditative songs that explore the sequence of tones, colors and times of the day.
The album was shared on YouTube in 4 playlists covering all 34 audio versions and is available for download in high quality at tonimazzotti.com. This is a non-commercial project. You are allowed to use these files as you wish and I’m happy to share it with you.

THE MUSIC CREATION
For many years I have been selecting virtual instruments with the intention of creating meditative music, but I needed to know the frequencies. Robert’s studies are the most eloquent and aligned with the theory, science and history of music. And now, it’s time to create… There were 4 months of production, divided into 2 moments.
The sound experience needed to emphasize the 24 sound stages, so I developed a base tone, at the same time static in its fundamental frequency, but also very organic through multiple oscillations, creating a kind of sound massage and maintaining interest in each 2:30-minute song. Above this basic tone, I play and meticulously adjusted several sound textures that emphasize the characteristics of each chakra. Keeping the 24 tones subdivided between the 7 basic Chakras, exactly as proposed.
This album is part of an in-depth study of music and will probably be listened to carefully in many different sound systems and over the years. Therefore, I paid extra attention to mixing and mastering. The songs were tested in mono, on smartphones, consumer headphones, automobiles and professional studio speakers and headphones. An extra restoration step was added after mastering to attenuate sibilances and remove remaining clicks and noise.
The audiovisual production had more than 4 hours of computer graphics rendering.
432 VS 528 DEBATE
It is important to say that the 528 Hz scale proposed by Robert E Grant is not the same previously proposed by other researchers. The PTT (Precise Temperament Tuning) scale at 528 Hz, does not replace the 432 Hz scale. On the contrary, it is part of the 24-tone scale, where the two scales are united, in an intertwined way. Unlike the other scales that have their Standard Pitch at 528 Hz, the PTT scale remains at 432 Hz (A4 or MIDI note 69), where the 528 Hz appear as the C#* (C5 or MIDI note 72). Another important detail is that the other scales based on 528 Hz available on the internet do not have a satisfactory harmonic relationship. But the 528 Hz scale in PTT have a good one. See more in this video.
“Somehow, the musical consciousness of 24 quarter tones from the Middle East, is now flowing to the West, and this is happening through the union of the two musical healing scales: 432 Hz and 528 Hz. Which until then seemed to be opposite and excluding each other.” – Toni Mazzotti
ROEL’S WORLD ANALYSIS
Roelant Hollander has kept on the air for more than a decade, many good articles about 432 Hz music. Over the years I have had very enlightening conversations about music with him. Roel’s attention, his nickname, was captured by Robert’s idea. See here the article on the Roel’s World blog about 24-PTT (Precise Temperament Tuning of 24 quarter tones). And previously, Roel had already commented the following in a post on his blog, after hearing the comparison with the 12 PTT in my video:
“To my ears Precise Temperament Tuning sounds the most consonant and more pleasing then Equal Temperament and even then Just Intonation.” – Roelant Hollander
In the same article Roel lists some more theorists who proposed musical scales using 528 Hz.
