I am Toni Mazzotti, a Brazilian multimedia artist and music theorist, born into a family of prominent Bossa Nova musicians and dedicated to researching new paradigms in rhythm and tuning.
Since 2000, I have devoted myself to the study of music theory, history, technology, and related sciences. I have contributed to the popularization of 432 Hz as a more suitable central reference for the human voice and hearing. I am also the creator of 432 528 Tunings, a free online educational application.
My work in musical tuning proposes an enhancement of traditional music theory through the association of specific frequencies with musical notes, establishing connections between geometry, mathematics, cosmology, and music. I call this framework Absolute Harmony.
In 2018, I released the documentary 432 Activists on YouTube, highlighting the international 432 Hz movement. Since 2021, I also documented and helped popularize the development of the Precise Temperament Tuning 432 and 528 systems.
I am the son of Ana Mazzotti and Romildo Teixeira, Brazilian musicians who helped consolidate Bossa Nova and were also pioneers of the independent phonographic release scene in Brazil (see the documentary Ana Mazzotti).
I was a DJ and a pioneer of the electronic music scene in Ceará, a music technology columnist for newspapers, and the host of podcasts on two radio stations. For 13 years, I maintained Cenaceara.DJ, a website that helped professionalize the electronic music scene in Northeastern Brazil by cataloging information, events, and more than 100 artists.
Over the years, I have developed extensive experience in music composition, sound design, mixing, mastering, video editing, animation, graphic design, and programming.
