A real-time MIDI system for performing and producing with Precise Temperament at 432 Hz and 528 Hz with Dual-Track Shimmer, discovered by Robert E. Grant.
Apple Logic Pro • Ableton Live coming soon • AU/VST3 planned
● Recreate the brilliance, depth and psychoacoustic movement naturally found in choirs, string ensembles and instruments such as the Indonesian Gamelan — across virtually any compatible virtual instrument.
● Tune and perform in Precise Temperament at 432 Hz and 528 Hz in real time, without relying on SCL files or manual retuning.
● Built on the same tuning technology developed for the 432 528 Tunings educational application.
“The sensation of performing in large choirs or orchestras is often described as spiritual or even mystical.”
Shimmer is a psychoacoustic phenomenon produced by the interaction between monophonic sound sources in unison. Such as two or more singers or violins playing the same note at the same time. It creates a sense of shimmer, depth, and movement that, until now, had not been fully understood.
While investigating the 24-PTT frequencies, in 2026 Robert E. Grant discovered a hidden numerical relationship that transforms the structural error inherent in musical temperaments into a uniform temporal modulation, that he calls: Shimmer.
On Biology and Consciousness, 432 Hz and 528 Hz + Shimmer bridge sound and DNA, promoting biological resonance and the evolution of consciousness. Their gentle modulation creates harmonic coherence within the biofield, supporting cellular synchronization, repair, and regeneration.
The implications of Shimmer extend across four interconnected
dimensions, according to Robert E. Grant’s research.
Psychoacoustic phenomenon between voices in unison.
Reconciles the Syntonic and Pythagorean commas.
Catalyzes transformation, creativity, and latent potential.
Stimulates dormant DNA strands and genetic memory.
“Time to awaken Harmonic Memory.”
The Same Frequencies. The Same Instruments. The Same Music. One Difference: Shimmer.
Without Shimmer, the sound tends to have a more static character. With Shimmer, it gains subtle movement and life, while the different tones and instruments establish a different harmonic relationship with one another.
This becomes particularly evident in Planetary Grid — All Solfeggios, where multiple frequencies and timbres coexist simultaneously.
The experiment suggests applications that go beyond alternative tunings, extending to the interaction between instruments, arrangement, mixing and mastering.
Receives each incoming note before it reaches the virtual instrument.

“In this rediscovery, Robert is shedding light on an acoustic phenomenon with spiritual and mystical implications, allowing each music producer to apply it selectively to specific instruments in their compositions—or even create entire pieces using only timbres that respond particularly well to Shimmer.”
— Toni Mazzotti

It is the easiest and most compatible solution for tuning virtual instruments to Precise Temperament 432 Hz and 528 Hz, using the revolutionary and newly discovered Dual-Track Shimmer. It consists of versions for Apple Logic Pro, Ableton Live (coming soon), and AU/VST3 (later 2026).
It intercepts incoming MIDI, recalculates the tuning based on the selected tuning, and creates a second note microscopically separated by only 0.3254 cents. During A/B comparisons, it is possible to sustain notes, temporarily disable MIDI message processing, and compensate for the volume increase resulting from the added Shimmer notes.
Yes. Currently, the only technology compatible with Shimmer is MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE).
It is currently available for Apple Logic Pro through a preset for its built-in Scripter MIDI plugin. The Ableton Live version (Max for Live device) is under development, and the AU and VST3 versions, compatible with other DAWs, are planned for 2026.
The system was developed specifically for 24-PTT Shimmer at 432 Hz and 528 Hz, preserving the mathematical relationships proposed by Robert E. Grant, but it allows the conversion to 432 Hz to be temporarily disabled during comparisons.
Tuning scripts are simple text blocks that contain only one frequency per note, while the virtual instruments that work with them are designed to play only one of these frequencies at a time. In other words, the internal architecture of script-based tuning does not support two frequencies being triggered simultaneously by the same physical key.
Any MPE-compatible virtual instrument, including more than 60 instruments from major brands, such as: Apple Logic Pro (8), Ableton Live (13), Arturia (27), Spectrasonics (3), Xfer Records (1), u-He (4), Native Instruments (2), Kilohearts (1), FXpansion (2), UVI (1), Vital Audio (1), Surge Synth Team (1), Madrona Labs (2), KV331 Audio (1), Audio Damage (1).
The future Ableton Live version will require Max for Live. The future AU and VST3 versions will be compatible with DAWs that support MIDI plugins in these formats.
The Initial Price includes the current Apple Logic Pro version (Scripter) and all previously announced versions: Ableton Live (Max for Live), AU, and VST3, which will be made available as soon as they are released, at no additional cost. Documentation, frequency tables, and future updates to these versions are also included.
The price increases as new versions are released. The initial price is US$ 60 with the Logic Pro version, increases to US$ 80 with the release of the Ableton Live version, and to US$ 100 with the release of the AU/VST3 versions. Those who purchase early will receive all subsequently announced versions at no additional cost.
